You cannot use Poké Transporter to directly transfer Pokémon to your Pokémon X andPokémon Y games from any previous titles aside from Pokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2.

However, here are some steps you can follow to reach your goal.

Use the GBA Game Card slot on a Nintendo DS Lite or Nintendo DS to transfer Pokémon fromPokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, Pokémon Emerald, Pokémon FireRed, and Pokémon LeafGreen to an area called the Pal Park in Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon HeartGold, or Pokémon SoulSilver.

Then, using two systems from the Nintendo DS family, transfer your Pokémon from Pokémon Diamond, Pokémon Pearl, Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon HeartGold, or Pokémon SoulSilver toPokémon Black, Pokémon White, Pokémon Black 2, or Pokémon White 2 using the Poké Transfer facility that exists within those games.

As someone who has done these weird things to transfer pokemon over the years, it just seems sort of crazy to see Nintendo write it out and say “yeah this is the intended, official way of doing this, so have fun buying 15 DS’s.”

Insignificant

Only a few hours left on the Kickstarter for my game! I’m so happy with all the support we’ve been getting. It’ll still be really hard to fund everything and support myself while I’m making it though, so any extra attention at the end here could really go a long way!

If you’re interested but also poor like I am, you can still follow me and I’ll let you know when the game is available and stuff.

(I should probably also mention that this is a PC, Mac, and Linux game, and it has optional Oculus Rift support)

Here I made this thing for my game. Do with it what you will, Tumblr.

Hey Tumblr friends, I have a Kickstarter up for a new videogame I’m developing, called Insignificant! It’s the first big thing I’ve tried to do in a long time, and I’m really hoping it goes well. I’ve already hit the minimum requirement for it to become a game, but it takes a lot of time and effort to really make a game worthwhile!

Please consider backing the project if you’re interested! I know there’s an impetus there to just wait until it comes out and buy it then, but I’m using the funds to actually develop the game, so for each person who backs it now as opposed to whenever it comes out, the game will be that much better! (Or conversely that much worse if you wait for it to come out, but I’m trying to be glass-half-full on this, come on).

some cool facts that not many people know

rabioheab:

  • every U.S. president was really just one guy in many different disguises
  • the sun is flat
  • when played backwards and sped up the audio from “bee movie” is the words to an ancient hunting chant
  • birds are not real they are government spy robots
  • the letter “K” does not exist

Huh! Well I knew most of these already, obviously, but number 3 was very enlightening!

Inspired by Worthington Libraries: Blind Date with a Book!

We started with ~40 books. Two hours later, all but four had found homes with library patrons (sorry, Flush, Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, Persepolis, and The ThingsThey Carried, they don’t know what they’re missing).

Now, to send forth a new fleet of exciting books into student arms. Whew!

It’s a blind date with a book but you can see their ISBN number? That’s like a blind date where the dates all hand out their Social Security number beforehand. How am I supposed to find myself in a scarcely populated restaurant on a date with a potential serial killer like that? Phooey!

(In seriousness, the idea is pretty clever, much more so than the fairly disappointing Scholastic Book Fairs my school used to have)
